News Backwards

Just a little Retroactive news for this year:

Starting backwards from this weekend, we've had Terrascape racers in action in many races this year. (Apologies if I've missed anyone)

Alana, Jeff, Lisa, Gary and Ryan are all out Singletrack 6-ing. Stay tuned for their results. Should be a great week of racing for them.

Luke finished the Calgary 70.3 1/2 Ironman.

Earlier in the summer, Mike was part of the 24hrs of Light in Whitehorse. Here's his summary:

24 h of light was a hoot, good course and nice people. Very low key compared to Canmore and a lot cheaper.
My 4 person team was 4th  out of 12, the 3 teams in front of us all did bonus laps.
Three ways to get them-
1.       Ride a rigid tandem for a lap and get two lap credit
2.       Ride naked for a lap between 10 pm and 6 am and get two lap credit
3.       Ride a rigid tandem naked for a lap and get three lap credit
Two ladies from Alberta went out for a naked tandem lap, but the chain broke about 6 km out, they ran it back in 5 degree weather.

Our little team Gravel ride on June 13 was a success. Nice weather, good gravel, great views.

Here's Cesar's recap of the Organ Grinder June 7th:

Did you notice that now Michelle, Andrew and myself have matching Specialized helmets?? Great race on Sunday gang !! I guess now that I am recovering I can sit down and think about it.. I was spent after the 6 laps… I started just fine, but wondering “what that heck am I doing here???”  That thought has come to my mind many times now… time went by and even thought I didn’t feel better, I was counting my laps and covering distance in the course. The second lap was fast for most people (maybe due to all the congesting in the first lap, we weren’t that tired by the second one). It was an incentive for me to have Alana in my back for the first 3 laps!, but of course Jeff passed me and didn’t want to slow down to ride together (antisocial dude). Deanne was ripping the course and of course “smile” Michelle wanted to catch me, but I didn’t let her ha-ha. Andrew was able to head out for a hot last lap just as I was training to put together myself and head to the campground to pick up my trailer with the kids…

Lisa was racing In Costa Rica in Late May... More details and photos sure to come soon.

We had strong showing for the Salty Dog in early May.

And finally, Andy P, Husain, and Amit went down San ta Clara Utah for the True Grit Epic where Amit won second place!

Thanks to everyone, and apologies to anyone who was overlooked - please forward the deets and we'll update ASAP.
