It is official now, ridding outside is on

Went out yesterday for a ride with my buddy Andy and did the Horse/Grand Vallley loop. As usual, we started really hard and it only kept getting harder and harder. With a strong headwind that in parts became sidewind working together was a must to survive a fast pace. I counter attacked in every hill, but my legs are not there yet... and was cramping a bit by the end of the 2 hours ride. The roads were great, and even though we were ridding in our cycle-cross bikes it wouldn't be impossible to use the road bikes because there is not a lot of gravel.

First ride of the season !!

Well, after a long winter in Calgary things seem to start getting better and the weather is probably ready to give me a break. Went out yesterday and climb the Big Hill (Cochrane) to get my blood pumped. It was really nice to be outside in my cross bike, without my commuting gear and saddle bags.. I sent an invite to ride this coming Sunday (Horse/Grand Valley) and I am crossing my fingers for a decent weather..
